Install EX:OH CMS
On your machine for development

This page provides a brief outline of how you can install and start using the Developer Edition of the EX:OH CMS on your machine.

To start development of your own EX:OH CMS themes you need a way to run the themes. With this in mind, the Developer edition of EX:OH lets you run up a version of the CMS that has enough functionality to let you manage pages and media, as well as editing them using the editor.

Combined with the ability to add themes to the CMS, you can then start developing your own.

Getting Started

To get started visit the repository linked below. It has a small shell script that you can run which will:

  • use the folder you're currently in to create docker-compose.yml files
  • configure some secrets so the Pocketbase instance can talk to the Frontend.

Then after that, simply:

docker-compose pull
docker-compose up

If you want to get rid of the instance altogether (including its stored data -- docker volumes), type the following:

docker-compose down -v
