This quarter some useful new features have been released into EX:OH CMS. As promised the foundation theme has now become open (APL 2.0) and can be found here. You can use it to create your own themes:
Here are some of the highlights of new functions integrated into the CMS for the 2026Q2 release.
New users with no pages see a dedicated empty state in page manager, with guidance and a Create entry point (including an optional embedded walkthrough video), as well as improved theme selection functionality upon site creation that will make it easier to understand what must be done.
You can now specify vanity URLs which will function as redirects to the page you're editing. An useful example for this is to specify /summer-sale-2026 as the vanity URL for a page that might live deep down in the tree at: /blog/general/summer-sale-2026
Additionally you can now define a redirect target from a page's properties. This will allow you to still provide a title, description and image that can be used in belts, but will end up redirecting to different pages.
robots.txt / llms.txt)Admins can manage per-site discovery settings (sitemaps, user-agent rules, site summary). The CMS renders live robots.txt and llms.txt, and discovery content is included in content push.
Editors can browse archived page revisions and restore a previous version. Historic revisions open read-only in the editor; saves on archived content are blocked.
